THE PILOT & SEASON 1
They meet RosaryFaith’s family, friends, and find iPhone footage of prom night, when RosaryFaith disappeared. The footage, as well as a bizarre encounter outside the high school girls’ locker room, points to RosaryFaith’s english teacher Professor Touch as a potential suspect - or at least Scott thinks so but Dale calls him “green” and ignores him.
While in Port Sores, and with the help of Sherriff John Bennay Ramsey, the crew discovers RosaryFaith’s head at an AYSO soccer game. The discovery of the head leads the crew to the local coroner’s office.

After some confusion caused by the fact that the coroner is practicing to become a magician, a tiny tattoo is discovered behind RosaryFaith’s ear, which solidifies Professor Touch as the main suspect and he’s arrested but THEN Katie Swallows is murdered while he’s still in jail. And that’s how our pilot ends - with the cliffhanger that there is a serial killer at large in Port Sores. - terrifying Dale and making Holly - feel nothing because she’s high on Robitussin.

THE REST OF SEASON 1
After the pilot, the rest of Season One follows the The Beautiful. White. Murdered. moving up to Port Sores, excited about the ratings-worthy elements of this case... but they soon learn they’re in over their newly sunburned heads.
This simple white-girl murder turns into a real time serial murder investigation that takes the crew and all of Port Sores by storm. After potential suspect Katie Swallows is murdered, the crew gets a sinister call from a man claiming to be the one actually responsible for both Katie and RosaryFaith’s murders. They think the call is a telemarketer so they let it go to VM, then forget to call him back. But eventually they realize there’s a serial killer stalking Port Sores!
The presence of this Zodiac-style killer continues throughout the first season - and is held up by the incompetence of both the police and the crew - Dale used some of the clues for his meditation altar. But in the finale, it is revealed that this serial killer is actually Ashley Parker Angel, the CEO of the Lonely Women’s Network, who orchestrated the killings to get the show to the premium level where a streaming service might buy it.

And at the end of season one, love DOES in fact win. Dale exposes the INJUSTICE that is Ashley Parker Angel committing murders for better ratings. He becomes a twitter hero for a day… until Taylor Swift adopts a new cat. Holly seems to have learned a real lesson from her involvement in the murders and is devastated when she loses the only person she’s ever loved… Dale Tickleman. BUT then a fresh new murder drops and Holly can’t say no. Dale is lured back and the crew is on to the next adventure. Oh and Ashley Parker Angel gets to stay at the network with the help of Ted Serandos!

FUTURE SEASONS
In possible Future Seasons, we love the idea of structuring our characters’ journeys around other, new popular true crime cases because those tend to shed light on the parts of society that we aim to satirize.
For example we could do a season based around a cult, inspired by documentaries like The Vow or Going Clear. And in this season our crew would obviously join the cult! In each one of our characters and storylines is a subverted true crime trope that everyone will recognize - from the backwards law enforcement agents to the bad boyfriend and all the camera-hungry characters in between, audiences will immediately feel at home in this world as we offer a fresh perspective on how bizarre and fucked up it is. Also, a season about a about a super charismatic hot serial killer that everyone on the crew gets a crush on and it becomes just like a season of The Bachelor. He's a Zodiac-esque killer but all of his messages are in the form of TikTok dances.
