THE ENSEMBLE

Brownie (34 in dog years)
Played by Denis Leary
A loyal friend, hopeless romantic, and
aggressive skeptic. Brownie is an alpha with a
drive that is equal parts righteous indignation
and narcissism, and is an amazing athlete -- a
"generational talent," if he does say so himself.
Brownie doubles down on decisions when he
clearly should fold.

Froyo (28 in dog years)
Played by Bobby Kelly
Desperate for love and validation, Froyo masks his
puppyhood abandonment insecurities by bragging
and filling any bit of silence with inane
observations. He’s desperate to be one of the guys
(a group that includes Daphne), not just the butt of
their jokes. Froyo’s schemes and bad ideas and
internet addiction lead the group into an endless
parade of comically stupid situations.

Daphne (30 in dog years)
Played by Elaine Hendrix
An independent spirit and searcher. Daphne has the
intellect of Elizabeth Warren with the comic bite of
Ali Wong -- a dog never happy settling for the
status quo. She is driven to change and is always
trying to teach old dogs new tricks.
Daphne and Brownie’s Meet Cute?
Brownie fell off a float at the Puppy Bowl Parade
and Daphne caught him. She later found out it was
all a set-up: Brownie arranged for Froyo to
accidentally push him. Kind of annoying, but
Brownie had a nice apartment and Daphne had a
roommate who kept giving her worms, so it just made sense.

Ditka (35 in dog years)
Played by Roy Wood Jr.
Zero fucks given, a massive dog with a huge
heart. Ditka is an endless stream of hot takes,
back-in-the-day wisdom, and outbursts of
insight. Ditka never seems to need a
single thing from anybody, except the money
Stan owes him. Secretly, he wants to be a part
of his puppies’ lives but knows that is against
the DOG RULES.

Stan (Won’t reveal his age. He thinks dog years are a cat conspiracy)
Played by Adam Ferrara
Stan has one goal in life: beat the system. He's always
looking for an angle, a corner to cut or a conspiracy
to explain why none of his choices, wagers or sure-
things pan out. Stan is filled with the endless
optimism of a gambler who should know better.
Stan and Ditka's Meet Cute?
Stan and Ditka met as puppies when Ditka saved Stan
from losing everything in a three-card monte game run
by a one-eyed squirrel. They’ve been inseparable
ever since.
